Biography:

Roger Augustine was hired by LaSalle Extension University to sell their Home Study courses in New York City. He was the first African American hired by LaSalle to sell Educational Programs. After a few years he was promoted to District Manager in Brooklyn, New York, then to Region Manager in New York City.

Roger left LaSalle to join ECPI College of Technology in New York City as their National Sales Trainer, training managers for. eighty computer schools throughout the United Sates. The first sales manual used by ECPI to train all of their sales representatives was written by Roger.

After many years with ECPI College of Technology, he accepted a position with the Bryman Schools as National Sales Manager out of Newport Beach, California.

Roger's next step was Entrepreneur Magazine where he helped establish their Start-A-Business stores in nine cities.

Roger left California to open his own computer schools, starting with one and eventually growing to three schools. While working on his own schools, he helped pioneer Proprietary Technology Schools in the Southeast Eventually these schools along With his three were sold to an organization based in Pennsylvania.

Roger then decided to retire, but found retirement was not for him. After seeing an ad for Art Instruction Schools in 1991, he was hired as a sales representative and has over 3500 enrollments to his credit.

Many people have asked Roger how he keeps going. His answer is his wife, learning new things, healthy eating, exercise and Tai-Chi.
